This makes it so your kitchen compost bin can sit right on the counter top. The stainless steel bin is molded in one piece , so this prevents rust and leaks. Other bins are made in pieces in different molds and that makes them prone to rust or leak. They leak or rust at the points where they have been welded together. Even though this bin is small enough to sit on the counter it is still big enough to hold several days worth of waste , such as vegetable peels, egg shells, fruits, coffe grounds and much more.
